About Launch Lap
We got tired of watching good founders lose to better-connected ones.
Launch Lap exists because the fundraising market doesn't actually reward the best businesses — it rewards the best-networked ones. We built the layer that was missing: independent verification, applied evenly, before anyone's money is on the line.
Why we started
A cap table taught us this the hard way.
Two of us spent the better part of a decade on opposite sides of the table — one running diligence for an early-stage fund, the other raising three rounds as a founder. Same complaint from both sides, different words for it: nobody could actually verify anything until it was too late to matter. Funds passed on strong companies because the data room was a mess. Founders lost momentum explaining the same traction numbers to the fortieth investor who didn't trust the first thirty-nine.
The fix wasn't more networking events or another deck template. It was an independent party whose entire job is verification — applied before either side spends a minute on a call. That's the whole platform. Everything else is infrastructure around that one idea.
What we hold ourselves to
The same standard we ask founders and investors to trust.
Independence, actually enforced
Auditors don't work for the founder or the platform's growth numbers. A published score can't be quietly revised.
No fabricated trust signals
No fake testimonials, no generated "team" photos, no verified badges that just mean someone paid for a plan.
Boring where it counts
Data room access is logged and permissioned like it's actually holding someone's cap table — because it is.
Who's building this
A small team, on purpose.
Real people, not placeholders — photos are on the way as the team page finishes rolling out. Until then, here's who's actually behind the product.
